NEW ARTIST TUESDAY - Nicki Minaj TUESDAY

Nicki Minaj is somewhat new. She's been pumping out mix tapes for the past couple years and had guest spots on a few high profile artist singles (Beyonce Single Ladies). She is starting to take center stage and earning more and more buzz, so I think its high time she has been profiled. I have been a big talker on "where have all the female rappers gone"? Seriously, Missy, Lil Kim, Foxy, Angie Martinez, lil Mama, the list is endless. They have vanished. The GRAMMY category has been gone for years. I think one of the biggest issues is that they were/are being overshadowed by the male rap scene. The male rappers seem to be banging them out one after the other and then the female rappers take years off, not good enough to stay relevant. Lil Mama was getting some serious traction and then *POOF* gone.

Here's hoping Nicki brings it back, she's cute, fun, talented, and I am 100% feeling her flow.
