Rumors are running rampant that the Michael Jackson tribute planned in Vienna is not going to happen. I think this going to be one of those things where some concrete details are needed before any results come to fruition. Here's what one source has to say...
TRIBUTE UPDATE: Looks like Jermaine Jackson’s “Happy Birthday Michael Jackson” tribute, originally set for Aug. 29 in Vienna in front of a live audience of 250k with an accompanying telecast, has hit some bumps. The date has been pushed back to Sept. 26, according to N.Y. Post Page Six. Jackson has a rather odd partner in the venture, Larry King’s wife Shawn, whose spokesman Howard Rubenstein claims Usher, Lionel Richie and Whitney Houston have confirmed they’ll perform. Shawn and Jermaine plan to sing their duet, "Will You Be There," and release a CD from the event. Still, insiders are wondering if the tribute will ever come off. An executive involved in handling Michael Jackson's estate said, "We have nothing to do with it. It's all Jermaine."
